Welcome/Bienvenidos:

De Fuego is a multi award-winning Spanish guitar duo playing energetic instrumental Spanish flamenco and rumba music. In 2019 they won the Lukas Awards (UK/EU Latin Awards) for best Classical/Jazz/Folk Act of the Year.

Since forming in 2010 they have performed at major festivals such as Glastonbury Festival, Henley Festival, The Big Feastival, Stonehenge Solstice Festival, Secret Garden Party, Sziget Fesztival, Meadows in the Mountains, Rumpus Festival, Vegfest London, to name a few, and in renowned music venues such as Spice of Life (Soho, London), Green Note (Camden, London), The Ritzy (Brixton, London) as regular guests.

De Fuego has also headlined a number of UK festivals and performed across Europe including Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary and  performed for organisations such as Google, Commonwealth Nations Ceremony Awards and Greenpeace.

They have recieved glowing reviews by many world music magazines including Fatea Magazine, Songlines, F-roots and been featured by EFE News, BBC, Glastonbury FM and Resonance FM.

In 2012 De Fuego released their debut album ´Bluebird´ and received glowing reviews. The band then run a successful kickstarter campaign in 2015 to record their second album´Davide´ (October 2015).

In 2013 De Fuego lost a friend and founding member, Davide Lufrano Chaves, after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. In memory of Davide, De Fuego is officially supporting the cause of Myeloma UK, a charity that aims to raise awareness and work towards a cure for this rare type of blood cancer. He will be remembered forever and we hope to keep his memory alive with this music.

From May 2016 acclaimed Spanish guitarist and composer Tony Calvo took on the role as De Fuego´s lead guitarist. He brings his exciting, lightning fast and melodic guitar playing to the forefront alongside Edina’s percussive and rhythmic guitar style, a perfect match for the high quality, energetic and passionate sound that people have come to know.

Currently, De Fuego is bigger and stronger than ever and performs for festivals, venues and private events across the UK all year round.

In October 2019 they launched their latest EP ‘Muchas Gracias’, including Official Music Video, and is available now across all online platforms.

Selected media quotes:

“Edina’s rhythm is spot on, steady and punchy, and Tony’s lead is both fluid and crisp.”
– Fatea Magazine

“De Fuego are just something else. Totally humble and unassuming as individuals, but don’t let this deceive you! From the second the first pluck hits the airwaves you’re swept away with their passion”
– efestivals.co.uk

“Even without the back-story this would be a superb album of exciting acoustic guitar playing. Go out and buy it.”
– R2 magazine

“Their entertainment value can be likened to two polite boxers shadow-sparring or two tango dancers who have swalloed something and allowed their lower halves to go off and do the St. Vitus reel. This is spectacle”
– Songlines magazine
